Employment center welcoming Wednesdays without appointment
Jefferson City’s Capital City Job Center is holding its monthly walk-in Wednesdays this Wednesday, giving employers and job seekers the opportunity to connect.
The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employers attending the event will include the Central Bank, the City of Jefferson, Cole County Residential Services, Fulton State Hospital, home helpers, the Michael W. Prenger Center and Modern Litho, according to A press release.
Walk-in Wednesdays offer a free space to connect employers and job seekers. Employers have a table, computers for applicants to apply online, and a private office space for one-on-one interviews. The Capital City Job Center recommends that job seekers bring their resumes to the event, but it is not required.
âAs many employers have difficulty finding employees to fill their vacancies, we want to provide as much help as possible,â Patricia Barnes, supervisor of Capital City Job Center, said in the press release. “We want to help employers in Jefferson City and surrounding areas with their hiring process, while helping the job seeker find meaningful and lasting employment.”
Employers can register for the event by calling Barnes at 573-526-8115. To learn more, visit cwdregion.com/wiw.
