Kathryn Gardner won two awards from Professional Photographers of Canada

Nelson’s photographer, Kathryn Gardner, won two provincial awards for the images she took of a bald eagle and a landscape.

Professional Photographers of Canada selected Gardner’s “The Eagle is Landing” for its Outstanding Animal Image Award, as well as “Sentinel Pass” in the pictorial-floral class.

Gardner also received an honorable mention in the editorial image category for “Riding the Chilcotin Highlands”.

The 76th annual awards were part of the BC Image Salon exhibit, which featured 22 different categories.

“The success of the PPOC-BC contest highlights the talents and ability of creators to create exceptional images for their clients,” Image Contest Chair Ross Outerbridge said in a statement.
