Iowa’s largest and longest-running studio art tour returns Friday through Sunday, October 8-10, featuring 42 artists at 31 venues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The 24th Annual Northeast Iowa Artist Studio Tour will offer behind-the-scenes views of artist studios that are not typically offered to the public. Tour participants can set their own pace as they drive from studio to studio.
The event will feature many well-known and award-winning national caliber artists who will exhibit and sell pottery, paintings, woodcuts, baskets, jewelry, woodworking, kaleidoscopes, photography, collage, fiber arts and more.
Most studios require masks. Some will be closed. Due to the ever-changing nature of COVID-19, check the Iowa Art Tour website for safety guidelines for each studio at www.IowaArtTour.com.
The full-color brochure features the artist’s contact details, a map with GPS, as well as accommodation and restaurants along the route. The brochure is available at participating studios, advertiser locations, the Decorah Visitor Center, and as printable PDF web downloads. The tour is free and the sites are all within 40 miles of Decorah.
A special exhibit “Preview: Artists on the 24th Northeastern Iowa Tour” features the latest works of art on display at ArtHaus through Saturday, October 2.
