Planning to ring in the New Year from home (again)? Many countdowns again welcome 2022 with open arms and a live audience after the festivities closed to the public or the show came to a complete halt last year. With the increase in cases of Omicron variants, cities like Georgia, Berlin, Paris, Rome and others have canceled this year’s large-scale gatherings, while events at Time Square in New York will be reduced and all participants will have to wear masks.

Several events will be broadcast live from Times Square, including the official New Years Ball co-hosted by Jonathan Bennett and Jeremy Hassell, Dick Clark’s New Years Eve hosted by Ryan Seacrest and CNN’s Live New Years Eve with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

Whether you like pop, country or comedy, there is a show for everyone. Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson to Co-Host Miley’s New Years Party of Miami, and revelers will also celebrate with countdowns and live performances from Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, Puerto Rico and Korea.

How to watch New Years 2022 specials online

If you’re watching the best New Years 2022 specials on your TV, smartphone, or tablet, you’ll need a cable subscription or a video-on-demand (SVOD) service in order to stream the events live. New Years Eve celebration in Times Square

Christmas house Star Jonathan Bennett will co-host the event with Times Square New Years Eve street correspondent Jeremy Hassell. The ceremony begins at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET at the top of One Times Square with the lighting and lifting of the New Years Ball. Performances include musician KT Tunstall, the USO performing arts troupe, fitness Liza Koshy and a Chinese cultural dance performance presented by the China-American Friendship Association.

As of 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on CBS, country music fans can ring in 2022 and broadcast live The Big Nashville Party, which will be co-hosted by Bobby Bones and Rachel Smith at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville. The five-hour show will feature performances by Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, Jubilee Singers and others for a total of nearly 50 live shows throughout City of music.

The 50th annual Dick Clark’s New Years Eve Airs on ABC starting at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET from Time Square in New York City, where executive producer Ryan Seacrest will host for the 17th year. The New York celebration will feature performances by Journey, Chloë and Karol G (LL Cool J has canceled his appearance due to a positive COVID-19 test).

Grammy-winning artist Ciara will host Los Angeles festivities for the West Coast Countdown, where performers include DJ D-Nice, AJR, Avril Lavigne with Travis Barker, Big Boi with Sleepy Brown, Don Omar , French Montana, Macklemore with Ryan Lewis, Mae Muller, Polo G, Måneskin, Masked Wolf, OneRepublic and Walker Hayes.

Grammy and Tony-winning actor Billy Porter to lead the central time zone segment from New Orleans, while Daddy Yankee and Roselyn Sanchez lead the inaugural Spanish-language countdown in Porto Rico.

After co-hosting a show on highlights from the Tokyo Olympics this summer, Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart reunite for year-end 2021 One and done special. The unscripted show will see the duo of wise men weigh in on the highlights and dim lights of pop culture, politics, sports and social media of the past 365 days – don’t expect any celebrity filters or cameos during the hour-plus show, which is now streaming on Peacock.

At 9:30 p.m. PT / 12:30 a.m. ET, CNN correspondents Don Lemon and Alisyn Camerota with comedian Dulce Sloan will take over the countdown from New Orleans. Katy Perry will perform from her Las Vegas residence, and William Shatner, Amanda Gorman, Patti LuPone, Duran Duran, David Arquette and Leslie Jordan will make appearances.

Weverse Con 2022: a new era

K-Pop superfans have their own countdown, but viewers outside of Korea will need to set their alarms at 12:30 a.m. PT / 3:30 a.m. ET on December 31, when Hybe Labels’ Weverse Con 2022: a new era broadcast live from the Korea International Exhibition Center. Justin Bieber, Bumzu, Dvwn, Enhypen, Fromis 9, Lee Hyun, Seventeen and Txt will perform. Tickets for the virtual show are $ 15- $ 46 and are available on Weverse Con’s official site.
