With over 5 million subscribers on YouTube, Peter McKinnon is somewhat of a legend in film and photography, providing emerging writers with tutorials and reviews to help them get started regardless of their skill level. . And now, with the help of minimalist photo equipment company Nomatic, he’s create a full range of bags to store the products he has recommended over the years.
With more than 4000 contributors on Kickstarter and 28 days to come, the Range of everyday cameras is a simple name for a simple yet practical assortment of organizing utilities designed to avoid clutter in the field. As the name suggests, the full range is designed for everyday use and comes in three forms: a tech organizer, a scarf and a backpack. As a reward for your commitment, you can opt for one, a combination of two, or all three depending on how much you’re willing to spend.
The backpack in particular features a wide variety of pockets for all your gear, large and small, as well as straps for your external carrying, a molded ribbed EVA back panel, sturdy shoulder straps, a padded handle, a luggage passage wheeled suitcase attachment, and more. The harness, on the other hand, is essentially a compact messenger bag, with designated compartments for your DSLR, two lenses, a dedicated memory card, and battery pockets. It’s also optimized to fit into the Camera Pack 35L, an earlier collaboration between McKinnon and Nomatic. Finally, the Camera Tech Organizer is the most portable of the three, measuring around 6 x 9 x 4 inches and weighing just 0.6 pounds. It can adapt to action camera (such as Go Pro or DJI Osmo), batteries, chargers, USB sticks or even a microphone. All three bags are water resistant, making them suitable for growing in all types of weather, rain or sun.
Commit now from $ 59 and Nomatic estimates it will start shipping units starting in October. Rewards are open to residents of the United States and Canada, although Nomatic says it will also ship to select countries internationally at an additional cost. Early bird supporters can save up to $ 80 by reserving their daily carry bags before the campaign ends. You’ll save the most, of course, by purchasing all three bags together, which you can do for a modest $ 387. Considering the quality of these bags, from the look to the materials used in their creation, the Everyday Carry line is a promising opportunity for photography enthusiasts and fans of Peter McKinnon.
